This sandhill crane kayak trip is a unique experience just out side Chattanooga, Tennessee that is only available from the seat of a kayak. It only happens for a brief period of the year and should be experienced by everyone. This is as close as you can get being on safari in Tennessee. The sounds of the sandhill cranes can be heard well before you ever see them. It has been compared to paddling through Jurassic Park.

This kayak tour was even more than I'd hoped for. We saw sandhill cranes, white pelicans, kingfishers, great blue herons, bald eagles- it was amazing! Zach is a knowledgeable, professional and thoughtful tour guide. He goes the extra mile to make sure everyone gets the most possible out of the trip including providing binoculars and bird guides. I worried ahead of time about possibly being cold and wet, but we were well protected. I highly recommend this tour and will definitely be looking for additional tours with Chattanooga Guided Adventures.

This was an amazing experience for our girls trip. Zach was a great host and very knowledgeable on the different birds and always mindful of everyone’s ability with safety always first. We would do this trip again and again. Thank you Zach for the fun day!!
