Our party of three met the tour guide in the lovely St. Francis Hotel lobby. The morning’s group was a congenial bunch of visitors eager to learn more about Santa Fe.
Noted as suitable for a “moderate” fitness level, I was looking forward to a pleasant amble around the surrounding area. However, the tour guide took off at a long legged lope several notches above “moderate!”
So, two of us dropped back and enjoyed the tremendous shopping and sightseeing Santa Fe offers on every corner. We visited with locals and tourists (it was the huge 4th of July Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast on the plaza), wandered in and out of stores and buildings, then re-connected with the tour for the Gruet wine tasting.
Getting the tour highlights from the group over a glass of outstanding Gruet champers was fun and much less taxing!
Takeaway here is the fitness level required for this walking tour is based on speed rather than stamina....no ambling allowed!

Hello Michaela,
Our sincerest apologies that the pace exceeded a pleasant amble. Our goal is to be mindful of all of our guests needs and we're addressing this. We're glad you were able to enjoy the bustle of Downtown Santa Fe on the 4th and atleast got to enjoy the Gruet tasting.
Respectfully,
The Heritage Inspirations Family
