Tom was amazing! He has such a full noggin full of knowledge about Salem, but don’t expect a ghost story. You’ll get the deep dark side of the history of Salem and where things truly took place. The good the bad and the ugly highly recommend.

There is a reason why you are seeing 5 star reviews through and through on every ratings website. We were in Salem on Oct 7th 2024 and booked this tour for 12:00 Noon slot. It was cold and rainy and yet you are seeing that I have given 5 ***** ratings for this walking tour. The most important reason - our tour guide Tom. He made walking in New England's cold rainy day in Fall extremely funny, infomative and full of laughter. Second reason - We were told history not ghost stories. Tom is an historian and his narrations were based of facts, history and common sense logic. I highly recommend you take this tour.

I booked this activity solo and coming off of the heels of a very disappointing ghost tour the previous night, I can confidently say this is one of the best tours I've been on. Tom is so knowledgeable and passionate about what he talks about, and really gives a ton of interesting information and little known history while also keeping things extremely fun and entertaining. Even after having lost his voice with the October crowds, he was so excited to tell us about the city and the nuances of its history and delivered an effortlessly fun experience. I also really appreciated that this was NOT a ghost tour and focused a lot on the history of Salem and the parts of it that aren't generally told or focused on. Another thing I really appreciated was the flexibility as I had originally booked the 12pm tour but there was a hiccup with the train schedule from Boston that meant I didn't arrive in Salem until well after that and was really bummed I had missed the tour, so I sent a message and was rescheduled to the 8pm tour no problem. I would 100% do it all over again.
