I took the Grand Teton Wildlife Tour. Scott was a very knowledgeable guide. Shared the history and lore of the area. Scott also shared pointers to improve your photography skills. We were able to see plenty of Moose, Buffalo/Bison, Elk and a Red Fox that appeared injured. The Bears were uncooperative that day. The trip was informative, Scott took us places in Jackson Hole I would have never found. I highly recommend Wild Wyoming Tours.

You will not meet a more informed guide with greater passion for his native Jackson Hole area than Scott Mellor! He spent a more than six hours on a glorious September day showing me the beauty of the Grand Tetons and explaining the history of its peoples, culture, economy, wildlife, geology and even local politics. He's also a terrific photographer -- as you can see from his website -- and offers custom shots. In the winter he offers off-mountain skiing tours. Most of all, you will thoroughly enjoy a day of relaxed conversation with someone who has seen all the changes in this incredibly special place over his 40+ years and still wakes up every morning thrilled to offer his experienced eyes to both first-time and repeat visitors.

I took my family, including my children on a Grand Teton all day tour with Wild Wyoming Tours and it is the highlight of our trip to the Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole so far. Our tour guide was Scott, who also happens to be the owner of Wild Wyoming Tours. He made our experience absolutely wonderful. He took the time to find out what was important for each of my family members, including my young children, and took us there or found the animal requested during the tour. We had the 4 wheel drive SUV all to ourselves, which was very nice. The kids fit in the back row perfectly. The small size of the group, made it possible to see the things that everyone wanted to see. Since we were on the full day tour, and we had a four wheel drive SUV, Scott got us into places that the two wheel drive vans, that other tours ride in, can not go. Scott shared his impressive knowledge about all the wildlife we saw, the geography of Tetons, and the local history of the Indians, fur trappers and the homesteaders that settled the valley. His passion for his home is evident and makes it easy to appreciate Jackson Hole as much as he does. Scott knows the region so well because he grew up here and has lived here all of his life, besides his time at a university. He knew where we needed to go to have the best chance of seeing the best wildlife and he drove us there in the 4 wheel drive. Off the beaten path is an accurate description to say the least! We went down dirt roads and into areas that only a local guide would know. And it was comfortable in the nice 4 wheel drive to. Wild Wyoming Tours provides very impressive binoculars to each person. It was amazing to look through them and see the animals so close and very clear! We saw a moose, a few elk (who's Indian name is wapiti), mule deer, bald eagles, lots and lots of bison, several beavers, lots of pronghorn antelope, hawks and turkey vultures. Included in our full day tour was a very good sack lunch that we picnicked with under the Tetons. It was a perfect lunch break. There was also drinks, snacks, and fruit anytime we wanted them. Very nice. I highly recommend this eight hour adventure and feel that we received very good value for our money. It was a full day with so much to see and learn. I am still processing it all. I am very happy we took the tour when we did, it was crisp and clear all day on the tour and now the smoke from the fires nearby is filling the valley with smoke in the mornings. We are here for two weeks and I am going to book their Yellowstone tour for my family next week. It is a longer tour (13 hrs.) but I am sure that it is going to be fantastic even with my children, after taking this tour in Grand Teton with Wild Wyoming Tours. Thanks Scott for the great time, my kids are still talking about all the things they saw and experienced. Highly recommended Tour. Great local guide. Looking forward to touring Yellowstone with you as our guide.
