I’ll start by saying I hesitate to give small, local companies bad reviews but do so because of my own heavy reliance on trip advisor reviews.
Our tour guide Faith was lovely but some issues that would prevent me from using this company again.
-Gear numbers on some of our bikes were faded and it was difficult to remember which way to push the switch to increase/decrease resistance.
-Only some of our bikes had water bottle holders.
-There was a break issue on my son’s bike and after fixing it and letting him practice stopping before we left, the employees decided to give him another bike. Breaks are of course a pretty big part of safe bike riding so while I was happy they gave him a new bike, it was too small.
-Though she provided some interesting facts, our guide was not at all a local as promised on the website.
-I confirmed lunch was included in our private package the day before our tour and was told yes. Our guide knew nothing about this and I was unhappy because I didn’t bring lunch for any of us, including my kids. I therefore asked that they have food waiting for us upon our return at the end of the tour and while the company 100% did its best by providing loaves of bread and some packaged meat/cheese, drinks and chips, this was very disappointing.
-Three of the five hiking miles took place on a rocky path that is apparently unknown to most tourists. However, the only way you know you were in Bryce was to look way up and around. Not sure what the point of this was.
All and all, I definitely think we could’ve covered Bryce on our own for free.
