Highly recommended for first time visitors; this three hour tour of Bryce Canyon with a local guide was really worth it.
We were a party of 6, with three small children under the age of 10. Mabry, our guide was informative, friendly, engaging well with both kids and adults. We really enjoyed his insights and dry, deprecating sense of humor; many natives seemingly share this trait. Very fun descriptions of the hoodoos, geology, forest and prairie dogs.
We started at the back part of the park, and made our way towards the more popular views which allowed us time to linger in awe appropriately, take plenty of pictures and come away with some great tips for another visit by ourselves later that same day.
Our guide's intimate knowledge gave us a sense of his passion for US National Parks, Bryce Canyon and the general area. We were able to apply his helpful insights to our hike down through Wall Street and around the Navajo Loop trails.
