I found the tour by chance. I live on Bainbridge Island, WA (a tourist destination for visitors wishing the thrill of a ferry ride). My grand daughter planned to stay with me for a weekend (she lives in Bremerton, WA). When she stays with me, she likes to have experiences. As a result, when we are together we often become tourists in our own area. It is my job as the responsible adult to seek out things to do. I am glad I stumbled upon this newish Seattle tour while scouring the web.
In tour preparation, I asked other area residents to name unique and tasty donut shops around downtown Seattle. They could name Top Pot Donuts, but that was it. If locals had no clue, I knew my grand daughter and I needed to take this tour. I mean, who doesn't need to know the great donut joints in their city?!
This walking tour is fun and tasty. It's yummy donut eating mixed with a little history, a little trivia, and a little city tour. My grand daughter gives the tour two sticky thumbs up. I give the tour a two thumbs and a gold star. For two hours on a morning with a group of other donut lovers, it jump starts your day.
(Hint: Seattle has hills. Seattle-ites and area locals are used to walking because it beats fighting traffic - plus we are known to be green minded. This is an easy-paced walking tour. Still, wear comfortable walking shoes and be aware you will be negotiating some steep slopes.)
