Almost did not want to write a review and let the biggest secret out! What a great way to see another slot canyon besides the popular Upper Antelope Canyon.
Starting off with the check in office, AC and super comfortable. We used the facilities and waited for our tour to start in comfort.
The off road ride to the canyon was pretty wild. Our guide, Tristan, joked that "it is so fun to drive a truck like it was stolen". He was such a kick, super fun, yet skillful and safe. We liked the truck used for this tour, front facing. Much more comfortable and way less dusty.
After a bit of a walk in the sun and heat, only our small group of 12 people went through the whole canyon. So many amazing rock colors and formation for photograph. Tristan was very gracious at taking pictures for people as well. We got a lot of pictures without other people, and they will be treasured.
After the walk to the "end", we were allowed to walk back out at our own pace, that was very nice. Then we drove over to Horseshoe Bend as our second stop.
It is a private and exclusive location, not like at the State Park location. Much less walking, not the 0.75 mile one way walk in the dusty trail. Just our small group. The view was unobstructed and private. Tristan again took a lot of pictures for the group. We also got to see some traditional Navajo hogans and got a demonstration of their "way of life".
All and all, this was a great tour. Small and intimate setting. Well done!
