  • The tour is approximately 3.25 miles and takes about 2.5 hours. You should be in good physical shape; there is uneven terrain, unpaved trails, rocks, some steep (but short) hills on dirt and mulch, uneven stairs and potentially slippery areas. It is essential that you dress appropriately and wear suitable shoes.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Some locations may not be open or accessible depending on weather conditions and/or park closings.

Bruce was a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable and set a good pace. Not too slow and not too fast!! Plenty of facts to add to all the historical information. Will follow Bruce anywhere!!

My 12 year old son and I took the Central Park tour with Bruce in mid-July. I know a bit about NYC and Central Park history, but Bruce still managed to blow me away with his knowledge and passion on the subject. His tour concentrated on the upper area of the park, the least familiar section for us. He gave us a very complete history of the park, including maps, and historical maps and images, provided fascinating historical points and showed us many places most regular park visitors are unfamiliar with. We highly recommend this tour with Bruce. We plan to take his other tours on future visits. If you love Central Park, New York City history and and engaging conversation, you will love this tour.
