Dear Debbie, thank you for a fun tour!
The High Line is a place that made quite an impression on me. So I really wanted not just to take my daughter there for a walk, but to let her hear the whole story - of what this place used to be like, how the idea was born, how it started to change, about all the art pieces and architectural creations, etc. And we got all that and more.
It happened so that we booked the tour on the eve - and turned out to be the only two people in the group, on a cold late-November afternoon. But even for us - the two people - Debbie went above and beyond. Not only did we do the two hours promised, she stayed with us for another forty minutes, continuing to show us more and more more of newer parts of the High Line that were created in the last few years!
She showed us the best spots to take pictures, she volunteered to be our photographer, she showed us photos of the place as it used to look (which I always find both curious and memorable). She told us all the stories. She even took us to the subway and made sure we were headed in the right direction.
Oh, and let's not forget the walk through the Chelsea market! Where we got to try some most delicious treats and got our hot coffees to go!
Debbie, thank you again! It was real fun! Next time we are in New York, we'll definitely book you - in advance!
