Sitting atop what was once a cemetery, this former cooperage operated as a speakeasy and brothel during Prohibition under the ownership of the legendary Capone brothers. In the 1990's, It was an occasional haunt of infamous serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer.

This tour takes you through every floor of our historical establishment - our main floor, the cellar basement, and the two upper floors. Once home to a cemetery, speakeasy, and brothel, Shaker's walls DO talk - and the tales they tell aren't always pretty. - 60 minutes. Indoors. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before tour start time.

Sam was a great tour guide. Doing it at night made it especially spooky. I also just really enjoyed learning about the history of the building and its ties to Al Capone.

It was a fun experience, wished I had the chance to do the 3.0! I’m slightly skeptical but I believe there’s slight haunting.. they did play it up to entertain you… but it’s such a historical site that I believe there is some energy. Apparently O’Conner was there with us that day

Thank you for the great review! As somewhat of a skeptic myself, it's been quite interesting experiencing all the paranormal things that I have in my 4+ years of working there. O'Connor does tend to take a liking to the ladies. Very unfortunate that you're unable to do the 3.0! We do have another one with some spots still available on October 29th, if you're in the area. Kirsten did a nice job of telling the stories of Shaker's history. If you are sensitive at all to cigar smoke it will burn your eyes if you're not used to it. You might want to wait outside after checking in. Overall it was a fun tour!
