Mopeds are fun and one of the cheapest activities on Maui. Travel to the beach, go snorkeling, hike the blowhole or just drive the roads of our majestic island on Maui's #1 way to do it. MOPEDS!

Mopeds are not to be ridden between sundown and sun up! Riding boundaries are south of the shop to the small town of Olowalu and north of the shop to the Nakalele Point (Blow Hole).

The driver of the vehicle will need to agree to the following:
-I am least 18 years of age
-I possess a valid driver's license
-I understand the riding boundaries
-Only one rider per 50cc moped
-I will wear protective eye-wear at all times
-I have been instructed to wear the provided DOT approved helmet at all times

First-time moped rider, and super happy that we chose 808 Mopeds! Despite not having a reservation, we were able to get in and complete the rental quickly and easily. Modern facilities with tablets made completing the waivers clear and e-friendly in the air conditioning. Gill is the extraordinary staff member who got us set up and oriented to the mopeds. His instructions were clear, friendly, and helpful. Walking us through the hands-on training never felt rushed, and he guided us through the demonstration patiently. I really appreciated first the parking-lot "test-drive" with him on hand to make sure you get the feel, and then the safe area just up the street to practice with more speed and maneuvers. I wasn't expecting that, and truthfully, hadn't even thought that it might be handy to have that practice area available. I definitely recommend making good use of it and taking the 10 mins or so to get comfortable with your turns, stopping, and starting before going out! We hit the road in no time and had a blast cruising up and down the coast! This was a great way to visit Lahaina without a big vehicle to add to the congestion downtown while exploring and shopping. Very convenient policy to just bring the moped back with whatever gas is left - no hassle with needing to fill up or guess what's in your tank. Secure locks come standard, and felt safe when we left a pair of mopeds with their wheels chained together. The storage area under the seat was more than enough for day-tripping. My only regret is that we did it on our last day! 10/10 would do a longer rental next time, and most definitely from the excellent people at 808 Mopeds!

Cruising around Kihei and Makena on standup scooters was a blast! Equipment was in great condition and the staff was very helpful. We look forward to trying something else, like mopeds, on our next trip.

We choose the 24 hour rental and had a blast! The mopeds were new, easy to drive and they ran great!! Would rent from 808 Mopeds again.
