Центар за ћелаве орла у Ситки ради са стручњацима за бригу о птицама којима помажу волонтери да спасу птице, пруже им рехабилитациону негу и надамо се да ће их пустити назад у дивљину. Након вашег упознавања са центром, одржаће се презентација са једном од едукативних птица Центра. Биће на располагању време за преглед летачког центра, прозора клинике, спољашњих станишта на палуби и продавнице поклона.

Национални историјски парк Ситка /Тотемски парк

Затим ћете посетити Национални историјски парк Ситка, где се водила "Битка за Аљаску" 1804. У парку се налазе стазе обложене тотемима, културни експонати и собе за резбарење у којима домаћи занатлије са Аљаске показују своју тотемску уметничку форму. Прошетајте стазом природе, погледајте културне изложбе и видео презентације или разговарајте са локалним уметницима о њиховој културној уметности.

Ситка

Последња станица је посета Тврђави медведа, која вам омогућава да дођете на 25 стопа од смеђих медведа Аљаске у натурализованом окружењу. Уживаћете у посматрању 3 популације медведа са покривене платформе за посматрање и у интеракцији са искусним природњаком. Након обиласка медведа, можете се искрцати на главну улицу да бисте куповали или се вратили директно на пристаниште за тендере. Преглед • 1 сат повратно вођена нарација аутобусом • 20 минута у Тврђави медведа • 1 сат у Раптор центру • 1 сат у Националном историјском парку Ситка • 30-минутна посета Катедрали Светог Михаила

Sitka's Bald Eagle Center operates with bird care professionals assisted by volunteers to rescue birds, provide them with rehabilitative care and hopefully release them back into the wild. After your introduction to the center, a presentation with one of the Center's educational birds will take place. Time will be available to view the flight center, clinic window, outside deck habitat areas and gift shop.

Next, you'll visit the Sitka National Historical Park, where the 1804 "Battle of Alaska", was fought. The park hosts totem lined trails, cultural exhibits and carving rooms where native Alaskan artisans demonstrate their totemic art form. Walk the nature trail, view cultural exhibits and video presentation, or talk with local native artists about their cultural art form.

The final stop is visiting the Fortress of the Bears, which allows you get within 25 feet of Alaska's brown bears in a naturalized setting. You will enjoy observing 3 populations of bears from a covered viewing platform and interact with an experienced naturalist. After the bear tour, you may disembark on the main street to shop or be returned directly to the tender pier. Overview • 1 hour guided roundtrip narration via bus • 20 minutes at Fortress of the Bears • 1 hour at the Raptor Center • 1 hour at the Sitka National Historical Park • 30 minute visit at St. Michael's Cathedral
