I visited the Webb Military Museum in June 2021 during my visit to Savannah. I bought my ticket in advance on-line. I was alone in the museum for my visit. The daughter of the owner Ms. Caitlin Webb was very helpful and gave me guidance and information. The museum and collection cover artifacts from the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, Indian Wars, World War 1, World War 2, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, Desert Storm. Ms. Webb showed me some very interesting Civil War artifacts. One of them was the handwritten plan for the attack on Fort Sumter in 1861 which was the start of the Civil War. Other artifacts were from the Battle of Antietam, the Battle of Gettysburg, a piece of the USS Maine which blew up in Havana harbor to start the Spanish-American War, the flight jacket of World War 1 American flying ace Ed Rickenbocker, US / German / Japanese World War 2 artifacts, Bob Hope's USO jackets during the Vietnam War, etc. There were thousands of items. It was endless. There were old newspapers with headlines from World War 2. Since I am a lover of history, I really enjoyed the museum. I plan to visit again during my next visit to Savannah.
