This place was amazing. Come to find out they are also owners of Carowinds in NC and Cedar Pointe in OH as well! I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to ride the coasters bc of some injuries, but I took a chance and loved it. Granted I’m paying for it today, lol. But it was worth it. You must go to Mrs. Knott’s restaurant at some point for dinner and I highly recommend the traditional dinner. You get phenomenal biscuits and a boysenberry jam for starters. I had the mixed fried chicken with rubarb; garden salad with blue cheese; the cabbage sautéed in ham; plus you a choice of dessert. I chose the boysenberry pie. Now... understand this. I’m am Southern by birth (from North Carolina) And for this, historical, place being in Cali it is on point with Southern cooking!!!
Another note* There is no way you will be able to eat everything that you’re given so be ready to take home a doggie bag! Don’t worry, you’ll be happy you did!
I’m a little sore this morning while typing this, but I’m so glad that I road the rides there: the pony express, the xccelerator, hang time, supreme scream; and especially the ghostrider! Oh, btw... it’s intense, so be prepared. Don’t resist the forces through the turns. It’s also really fun if you hit that ride last (at night).
