Understanding the cost of conservation and maintenance at a large attraction like Aquarium of the Pacific must always be taken into account when appraising a $35+ cost of entry, but while Valencia, Atlanta, Lisbon and Tampa reward patrons with expansive grounds this Aquarium attempts to overstuff a small footprint with gimmicks.
Pay to park. Pay to feed some birds that have nothing to do with water. Pay to have a characature drawn. Here's a bunch of movies to substitute tanks. And the tanks themselves? Small, not a lot of aquascaping and constantly flooded by kids yelling "Nemo, Nemo, Dory" while tapping the glass.
Kudos for the Octopus, Cuttlefish and Jellyfish displays, but otherwise you're looking at about $50 all-in per person for something fairly average.
