We had a fabulous time going dog sledding. Elaine was our guide & musher and she was very knowledgeable, personable, and thoughtful. It was pretty cold the day we went (around 16 below zero Fahrenheit) and we didn't want to go out for too long; the 30 minute sampler trip was perfect. Because it was the last outing of the day, Elaine even let me feed a snack to the dogs. (The dogs were all adorable too!) The office has some gear that you can borrow (like gators, coats etc) and we didn't need anything but goggles and the sled on blankets and pillows. We enjoyed talking to Trevor and seeing the photos of Susan Howlet Butcher who won the Iditarod in 1986 and also won 4 consecutive times. All in all a very memorable time.
