This fun and adventurous tour offers a unique way to explore the Sonoran Desert. The UTV is perfect for a family to hit the sandy trails. See Saguaro, barrel and prickly pear cactus as well as dozens of other plant life. You may even spot a bald eagle or a mule deer! This is a great way to see the beautiful Sonoran Desert while having the adventure of a lifetime!

Tonto National Forest

You will meet us in the parking area at the trail head, once there you will check in, get kitted with your helmet and goggles, and go over a quick safety briefing so that you feel good about how to operate your vehicle. Once everyone is ready to go you will follow your guide into the off road trails in the Tonto National Forest area where you will ride for 2 hours covering about 20 miles of trail. Your guide will reorder the group after the first 10 minutes to be sure everyone can ride at their own pace, the vehicles can reach speeds of 40 mph, but not everyone likes to go that fast! You will traverse sandy washes and blow up the dust while viewing the beautiful Sonoran Desert scenery. Your guide will periodically stop you to give pointers on the upcoming terrain, make sure you are drinking water, and take photos of everyone in action. After the tour you will return to the starting point where your car will be waiting for you.

Colton was our tour guide and he was amazing. Professional and safe. He did a great job. This was our third experience with Stellar Adventures and each trip just keeps getting better. We have done ATV tours in the past but this trip we opted for the UTV. We were not disappointed. Everything from start to finish was great and the kiddos have not stopped talking about it. We were hesitant to go in the AZ summer but the team kept us cool and hydrated. Great experience for all levels of off roading experience. My advice is start of slow to get comfortable with the equipment; which the team is happy to accommodate. By the end of the tour you’ll be having the time of your life.

We chose Stellar Atv/UTV adventure for our ride last evening. We haven’t stopped talking about it yet. The scenery was breathtaking and the ride was amazing. Tom was a wonderful guide—knowledgeable of the desert and shared interesting information. We had so much fun — it was exciting for the drivers and the passengers. There were frequent stops to allow us to change positions. I highly recommend this company if you choose to try this adventure— it is great for a variety of ages (we ranged from 26 to 67). Our family of five had a blast, we had never done an experience like this and loved it! Our thoughtful guide David was part dare-devil, part botanist LOL! Will definitely do this adventure at Stellar again on our next AZ vacation!
