We visited this past Sunday during the week of Thanksgiving when Houston area kids were out of school for the week, We arrived around 9:45, easily parked and bought tickets, showing our AAA card to save $5 per ticket. Given only 1 of 4+ booths were open I'm guessing they were not expecting peak attendence. Once inside we immediately went to the line across from customer service to get our ticket for the tram to mission control @11:30. We viewed the exhibits until it was time to line up for our tour, went on the mission control tour and then immediately lined up for the non-ticketed tram tour. After returning we had a quick snack and the continued viewing the exhibits until about 4:30 when we were all "done". The highlights were the tram tours, both the destinations and the commentary on the trips thru the campus, and the space shuttle on site. It would take another full day to completely read/view all the exhibits in detail. The museum space was really sensory overload so might be difficult for some kids.
