For the entirety of this narrated tour, you’ll navigate and captain your own speedboat while following a trained and knowledgeable guide in a different boat. There is a two-way communication system mounted in each boat, so you'll be able to hear your guide throughout the tour. My wife and I ( both of us at 60) went on this tour and it was the highlight of our vacation, Chris was terrific and put us at ease since we had never driven a boat before. He is very polite and frendly. Scott our guide was just as nice. He was very knowledgable about most anything in the area. The adrenalin was certainly flowing especially the first time you open up the throttle, man do they take off. We have done almost any kind of adventure, from parasailing to bell diving, this is right up there for excitment. When we get back down to Florida we will definitly do it again. I want to thank them for such a great time and encourage anyone who is thinking about doing it ...to go , you won't regret it.

We had the most incredible fun on the water with Scott from Speed Boat Adventures yesterday. I was a bit hesitant at first but any concerns were quickly resolved as soon as we started idling out of the marina. Passing by homes located on the waters of Tierra Verde and St Pete Beach, seeing areas that we've only seen from the bridges passing over Boca Ciega Bay, enjoying the sun and easy breeze, learning a bit about Eckerd College... we did so much in less than two hours! Then add the excitement of moving the motor into full throttle and catching a bit of "air" out on the water... WOW!!! Living right on the waters of Tampa Bay we see manatees and dolphins all the time so that part wasn't too exciting for us but it's a nice "touristy" touch. OMG - I want to go again today!

Speed boat adventures in St. Petersburg is a great time - if you love to go boating then this is definitely worth the trip. The boats they have are really cool, and a lot of fun to drive and once you get out in the bay you get to go pretty fast which was a blast. Was hoping to see more of the beauty of nature but it was still great getting in with a pod of dolphins and watching them surface around our boat. Definitely check out Speed Boat adventures.
