My friend booked this for me as a birthday gift
We arrived at the location and had to ask several people for the offices and there location which is not surprising as the office is an old VW camper van
My friend told me not to worry as all the reviews he had seen said ignore this (he was right)
We were greeted by the owner and Capt Scott, 2 guys who had clearly done some partying in the past and had a really good laid back attitude
The owner (sorry I forget his name) told us how the business had started and why the VW was the office but assured us of a great time (he wasn’t wrong)
He introduced us to Capt Scott who would be our guide, a laid back guy with lots of great stories ( true or false they were still good)
Following a safety briefing and after donning our life vests he showed us to our speed boat and off we went out of the marina and into the Gulf of Mexico he pointed out all sorts of wildlife marine life and anything he thought might interest us, the boat was fast and you sort of play follow my leader to ensure you don’t hit any sand banks or debris
We stayed out for about 90 minutes and changed driver half way through to ensure we both had a great time
On the face of it this outfit looks minimal, basic and maybe one to avoid but don’t be fooled by appearances, the owner seems every bit as good as any corporate set up I have seen and Capt Scott was competent and well informed with a desire to ensure you have a great time
We felt that the adventure was better for the laid back attitude of both guys and would not have been as enjoyable if it had been more formal and corporate, keep up the good work guys and we hope to see you on our next visit to Florida
