Out on a ladies beach trip, we decided to try speedboat adventures- we had done the exhilarating parasail adventure, gone dolphin watching, and seen manatees while kayaking, so it was time to let loose a bit. Capt. Tony was fun and friendly and did a great job introducing us to Tampa bay from the water vantage point (as well as providing us with a local's take on restaurant and site-seeing- thank you!). While experience is totally unnecessary, half of us had driven boats before and spent significant time on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. After no wake motoring out of the marina for some time, we were able to do s-turns and play a bit. It was reassuring to know all the bouncing about could be fearlessly enjoyed as the captains assured us they tested the boats for flipping to the nth degree... and couldn't. We went in the heat of the middle of the day, but were fine on the water. No marine mammals or fish were observed, but we did learn about some shore birds and shore attractions. We had a terrific time, but did find this a bit pricey for the experience- probably if you were new to boating this would be a good value. I would recommend this to those seeking a safe and new adventure.
