We sailed on 7/5/22. This sailing was a gift from our daughter for our anniversary. Location and parking was easy to find. Crew was a little late arriving to check the passengers in, but were very friendly and helpful getting us aboard once we were checked in.
We left the dockside and sailed out with beautiful views of Waikiki and Honolulu. It was very nice. At once point, the boat was anchored and people were allowed to swim. I don't swim, but this looked to be very enjoyable for those that did.
Then, the sails were raised (although the motor was still in use) and we started across a bit rougher water with some bigger wave action. I found this to be very fun and enjoyable. At one point, my husband and I found seats on the steps at the back of the boat. I was seated on the top step, leaning against the railing, (just like everyone on the boat was doing.) With one wave, the railing that I was sitting against opened part way. This didn't seem safe to me so I moved down away from the rail/gate. The next wave caused that railing gate to open up wide. Thank goodness I had moved away from it. If I had been leaning against that rail when it opened up wide open, I could have very easily fallen through and off the back of the boat. We quickly got the attention of Alexio who got Casey's attention away from the girls he was flirting with and he latched the gate closed. A VERY dangerous situation, to say the least. His comment was, " I'd have been in so much trouble if you have fallen off the boat!" Yeah, no kidding!
As the ride got rougher, three people around me got sick and threw up. Hey, it happens. Alexio saw that there was vomit on the deck where people had thrown up and called Mike to come wash it away. Mike grabbed a bucket and headed up from the lower deck, but stopped to continue his conversation with two girls that had his attention., We waited. He then turned to Alexio, said something and went back to his flirting with the cuties. Finally, another lady and I called to him 3-4 times to get his attention to ask him to wash away the vomit. He finally came up to do it and said to us, "Wasn't I fast enough for ya?" Very rude and inappropriate comment because we had waited patiently and were actually very nice about it. But, meanwhile, we are sitting there looking at and smelling someone's puke on the deck. He then says to my husband and I, "You have to move so I can do this." It wasn't so much what he said, but the tone he used. Completely out of line.
After these two incidents, I think it was clear that we were not happy customers. THEN, it was all sweetness and light from the crew trying to see "If you're okay." Umm, too little too late.
This crew is living their dream, I'm sure, and good for them. But, while they're working these tours, they definitely need to be more concerned for the safety and the comfort of all their passengers and less concerned about flirting with the cute girls aboard their boat.
We were very disappointed with the way things were handled on this boat and would never recommend it to anyone. Safety should be their number one priority. The situation could have potentially caused loss of life. Not cool.
