My partner and I booked the Sunset Cocktail Cruise on August 31st. The crew was professional, friendly, and entertaining. The cocktails were unfortunately limited to either Pina Coladas, or Rum and Coke. Prior to booking the cruise at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel, we inquired about the need to eat a substantial meal prior to the 4:30 arrival at the harbor and were told there would be “snacks” during the cruise. Aboard the boat, we discovered the snack consisted only of a package of Toast Chee crackers. For the cost of the cruise, someone easily could have picked up small packs of nuts, chips, and other forms of proteins from Costco. The lack of better quality (Monarch is the worst!) and variety in spirits was also a disappointment. Once anchored, we were invited to go swimming. This was a surprise that caught most of the attendees off guard. Had we known in advance that this was an option, we could have brought our swimwear with us. The brochure description of the cruise was either misleading or the hotel staff (concierge) knowledge was inaccurate.
