Do not waste your time or money - I have tried to contact the company multiple times on these issues and have not heard back, so want to warn others before they make the same mistake!
I took a mid-sized group on this trip and was completely disappointed, underwhelmed and frankly embarrassed to have brought friends.
Let’s start with the biggest issue - as we were boarding the small boat, we were told that the single bathroom for 40 people, for 2 hours, while eating and drinking, was out of service. Not sure it’s even permittable to operate this cruise without working facilities, but we did. We were told we would stop halfway through to use facilities on land but of course this never happened. Due to this, a lot of us elected not to eat or drink just to be safe. Frankly, if the staff at boarding were even remotely helpful about getting a refund we would not have gotten on the boat as could already see the disaster looming (crew told us we would need to contact the owner to request a refund (even with the boat broken???) but given my current list of unanswered emails to the owner, I can’t imagine we would have ever received a refund regardless).
However, even with a functioning boat, I would not recommend this to anyone. The boat is very small (especially for 40 people) so some end up standing the entire trip. There are also no tables, so to eat and drink you are balancing your bowl on your hand with your drink on the floor. The food is fine, but they don’t announce when it is ready so you just have to keep an eye on it the entire time. Lastly, but certainly not least, they never do any semblance of a safety briefing, location of life jackets, etc - given they have an open flame on board in the form of the hibachi and allowing guests to throw fire around the boat, it would have been nice to know they had some safety devices on board (although given the toilet situation, maybe they don’t). The staff / crew the entire trip were fairly useless in terms of communication overall so probably shouldn’t be shocked.
This wasn’t a great cruise for a variety of the above reasons but you then add in the $100+ price tag per head and it becomes an absolute terrible use of money. And don’t even think about contacting the company to try to have a discussion about the issues - once they have your money, they vanish.
There are so many lovely options to get on the water around the island, but this is not one of them! Find something else and enjoy the beauty of Hilton Head without the pain points of this monstrosity.
