I was expecting the sail to be canceled to be honest. The weather was a bit iffy. And it was fairly cloudy the entire sail. The staff avoided rain the entire time, but it still wasn’t the most picturesque boat ride I’ve ever been on. In fact, we didn’t bother to take an pictures because they weren’t worth it. The lightening in the distance the entire ride was also disconcerting. It also bothered me that when I booked the trip, about 2 months ago, the booking specifically said that due to Covid protocols, there was a restriction on the number of passengers. Obviously they lifted that restriction, as there were about 20 ppl shoulder to shoulder on a small catamaran, but no message of the change was ever sent out. $70 per person seems extreme to sit shoulder to shoulder. And passengers were smoking!

Hi Amanda, Thank you for your feedback! While we did initially limit our passenger capacity at the beginning of the pandemic to 6 passengers per sail, we made the decision, in consultation with our local public health expert, to safely remove that restriction in November of 2020 as we learned more about the virus. All of our online products that I've been able to find reflect that same policy. My apologies if there was a misunderstanding. Our capacity since then has always been a max of 24 passengers onboard our 36ft. catamaran, and most find it to be quite spacious. One of the positive reviews we regularly receive is how much room everyone has to spread out once we are underway. Yes, initially we need everyone seated as we depart the dock, but after that everyone is free to spread out all around the sailboat and relax. I'm sorry that you didn't have the same experience. As far as the weather goes, our Captain's onboard are VERY conservative when it comes to the safety of our passengers and we have complete faith and confidence in their combined 150 years of sailing experience on the high seas. We hope to see you out with us again someday and allow us a chance to give you a better impression of our operation. It would be our pleasure.
Regards,
Aaron
