. My K9 surfing partner Church & I are blessed to have been born and raised in this paradise named Maui. Growing up here we spent more than a fair share of that time in the ocean. What makes us the uniquely ultimate surfing duo is that besides being a competitive surfer myself, Church is trained and certified as both a therapy dog as well as an emotional service animal. There's a lot of places to learn how to surf here on Maui, but only one that let's you have bragging rights about a dog teaching the lesson. No show instructor. Had to call and attempt to reschedule. Called viator and they didn’t resolve anything themselves. Waste of an entire vacation morning.

We had an amazing experience with James and Church. James is a great instructor, and Having Church with us was next level awesome! My husband and I both got up to standing, always felt safe, and we had better than expected results! We would definitely book this experience again! Church was so fun and it was an absolute treat seeing him living his best life!

From the start James and his loyal companion Church were friendly and welcoming. They were both patient and helpful teachers and gave my wife and I as much time in the water as we wanted. I never got up past a crouching position but I never felt defeated. Highly recommend this unique experience! PS, Church is the goodest boy!
