The food was delicious, especially the margaritas and Magda was very knowledgeable. It was a fun way to learn about the history of San Diego and taste some tacos. We had a great time!

It was a very fun and informative tour. Rail was knowledgeable and kept the tour moving with great stories. The food and drinks were delucious.

We enjoyed our tour with Merrit. Come hungry! I was not expecting normal size tacos. I thought they would be more like street tacos, but no, they were full size. We had a carnitas taco at one location and a grilled chicken taco at second location … also chips and salsa at both places. We were a little disappointed with the “tequila” part of the tour. We had a margarita at both restaurants but they were basically the same. It would have been nice to have a different flavor or a different tequila drink, rather than two of the same drinks. I thought the tour might include some tequila tasting (nothing major, but maybe a taste of the different kinds talked about), but it was just those two margaritas. We also enjoyed elote and a churro, which were both yummy. We’ve been to San Diego many times, but have never done a food tour before. We enjoyed the food and hearing about the history.

Thank you for the great review! We appreciate the feedback, and will keep this in mind about the tequila portion. We've considered a proper tequila tasting, but the pricing would put the price of the tour significantly higher, and we have been hesitant to do it as part of the regular tour, but maybe as an add on?? I'm happy you had a great time with Merritt learning about San Diego's history! We hope to see you on another food tour soon!
