Designated by Congress as the official WWII museum of the United States, The National WWII Museum is located in downtown New Orleans on a six-acre campus, where five soaring pavilions house historical exhibits, on-site restoration work, a period dinner theater, and restaurants.

Beyond All Boundaries is a film depicting the battles of World War II. The film is shown in 4-D, and includes archive footage and special effects. Produced and narrated by Tom Hanks and is shown solely in The National World War II Museum, New Orleans.

Solomon Victory Theater makes use of vibrating seats and atmospheric effects to enhance the viewing experience. In addition there are also moving props and scenery, lighting and sound effects and a multi-layered projection process. Time selected below is for your 4-D film. You may enter the Museum any time BEFORE your movie time to begin touring.

I don't think I can swing anything that hasn't already been said. All of us know some or most of the history, but there's always something more to learn. Having it displayed so well helps digest the enormity. There is an overwhelming amount of information. After 3.5hrs we still hadn't seen it all. A return visit is in order.

We arrived at 9am and had one hour before our viewing of the film to see several areas of the museum. There were very few people and we felt safe walking around the museum with our masks on during Covid10. There are several buildings and you could easily spend a day if you wish to see & read everything. We only had 3 hrs., so we got advance admission & movie tickets to speed the process and prevent wasting our precious time in lines. This was an amazing compilation of video & photos to help us actually see what went on during this horrible war. The movie was informative and gave me a better perspective of the horror of wars! My dad was drafted and served during WWII, but seldom talked about it! The hall with actual aircraft used in that War was also worthwhile

I had to leave on a emergency and couldn’t attend this event. I’m sure it was amazing.A missed opportunity.😌
