Travel through historic ghost towns, mines, and explore the true high country well above treeline. You decide the difficulty as we work our way higher and higher up the mountain. With a network of roads and varying terrain, you can be mild or push it to the top. Please note: we offer a variety of trails and this attraction is located on only of the trails. Trails are decided upon together with the client based on weather conditions on the day of the excursion and based on the difficulty level the client would like to select. St. Mary's Glacier

Saint Mary's Glacier is a pristine, semi-permanent mountain snowfield perched above St. Mary's lake in Arapaho National Forest near Yankee Hill Road. Often described as the best of Clear Creek County Jeeping, Yankee Hill Road is a classic traverse of mining roads and Jeep trails that feature steep climbs, big rocks, washed out crossings, and downright challenging obstacles. A maze of trails that can be explored from various start points, Yankee Hill Road is a Colorado jewel. Please note: we offer a variety of trails and this attraction is located on only of the trails. Trails are decided upon together with the client based on weather conditions on the day of the excursion and based on the difficulty level the client would like to select. Bill Moore Lake is a beautiful high country lake situated at over 11,000 feet and surrounded by groves of aspen and pine. A road that would challenge most stock SUVs, Bill Moore Lake can be a great challenge with a wonderful reward at the end. Please note: we offer a variety of trails and this attraction is located on only of the trails. Trails are decided upon together with the client based on weather conditions on the day of the excursion and based on the difficulty level the client would like to select. The sunset tour was the final adventure of our vacation and was a great way to cap it. Our guide was in the lead jeep, telling us local stories and history over a radio while we followed him 4000 feet up in elevation. My wife and 3 daughters all took a turn driving the custom jeep up and then down the mountain. Crazy, wild, yet safe and fun. A great experience!

This tour was the highlight of the trip to Denver area. It started with the service before we even got there. Had many questions and Brandon called back ASAP same day (after his sunset tour came in). Addressed everything and made me super comfortable in booking the trip. Once we got there, Brandon worked with us to understand what we were looking for and gauged our driving experience (modest) to include a great mix of fun trails, navigating through tight spaces, and putting the Jeep through its paces in a safe, environmentally respectful way. The Jeep was in excellent condition, clean, and a blast to drive with Brandon communicating with us via walkie talkie at all times. In tougher areas he spotted us so we always felt in control. During the ride we also got to learn about the history of mining in the area (some still going on) as well as scenic sights and general information. The town of Idaho Springs is also quaint with plenty of shops, restaurants, and pubs to keep one busy for several hours. In summary, a great operation and unique experience!

When you look at a review and they are ALL 5 Star, you know what kind of experience you are going to get. This is a small company that is run hands-on by a passionate owner. Brandon is a local native with extensive experience of the area, the mining history and off-road trail driving. This company and creating great off-road driving experiences for people is clearly his passion. We did the trip as a family with two older teens. The Jeeps they use are new and amazing vehicles, custom designed and outfitted for off-road driving. None of us had ever done this before, and they were great at teaching us what to do as we went along. All 4 of us had an opportunity to try driving because the trails are far off road and do no require a driver’s license. What an incredible experience for my 15-year old especially! We have already been traveling for about 10 days to a lot of national parks and breathtaking scenery, but everyone drove away from this experience counting it as the favorite so far. And even though this cost of the excursion is a bit high, it’s a great value when you think about everything required to make it happen — 2 staff members for 3-4 hours, fuel and top-notch equipment. Don’t hesitate. GO see Brandon and his crew in Idaho Springs, outside of Denver.
