We had the honor of touring with Mike on a cool, rainy, windy, Sunday morning in October, with the upside of sparse activity on the streetscape. Despite the challenging conditions, Mike set his sails to bring our small, limited tour group through the notable historic places, and striking scenic viewsheds of the Shawmut Peninsula of Old Boston.
Along the way, Mike painted a picture of the backdrop of the (US)American Revolution, and tied together several social, economic, and political circumstances into a well-organized sightseeing narrative matching the places to which he brought us in a sensible progression. He complimented his superb capability as a public speaker, with interesting visual materials, including historic maps, and images of historic paintings. Mike even brought a few extra umbrellas for the unprepared, and built the comfort of a restroom & tea beak into the tour.
As a sightseeing tour guide myself from Washington, DC, I can wholeheartedly recommend this engaging and engrossing tour for any student of history, for families, solo travelers. Mike has a true dedication to the quality of his craft and that will become clear and evident to you as you enjoy his tours.
