This is going to be a brief review. First of all, for those of you who have not been in Salem on the weekends in October - be prepared for crowds. It is even difficult to find parking. Recommendation: Take the first open parking spot in the first open parking lot.
The tour guide communicated very well to help us navigate the crowds.
We did not take the history tour - we took the modern magic tour. There were three elements discussed during the tour to explain what contemporary magic is. I wouldn't say it was a spiritual tour - just informative. We did a circle at the end and were given candles. The biggest take away was recognizing the loss of the people who were hanged after being accused of being a witch in 1692 which is quite sad.
If you are looking for history - I recommend taking another tour. If you are open to learning about modern-day witches, I recommend this tour. It is not a scary tour. I rated it excellent because the tour was focused, informative and created goodwill in our lives.
