My sister and I visited Salem for the first time this year to celebrate Halloween. We took a number of different tours but this was by far our favorite. The tour began with the group being invited to take part in a spell. It set the mood and helped to bring us together as a group as opposed to a bunch of strangers, which we were. The smaller group size makes for a more personal experience... with the added benefit of our guide not having to shout at us to make sure everyone can hear him. Speaking of our tour guide, his name was Tom and he was wonderful. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, personable, and charismatic. The tour feels less like a lecture, and more like a new friend showing you around a city that he clearly has a lot of love for. He fielded the group's questions about a range of topics from history to modern day magical practice to the best place to grab a coffee late night. I can personally vouche for the coffee shop, it was a great recommendation. It was also awesome to walk through the oldest witch shop in salem, and to purchase some great homemade candles to bring home with us. I cant reccomend this tour highly enough to anyone interested in getting a feel for Salem. There are many great tours in Salem to take, but this one you definitely dont want to miss.
