Okay, I have to say I was not sure what to totally expect. Bev was an awesome guide and photographer. Additionally, she gave us an introduction to indigenous flora and fauna. We also tried edible flowers during the trip. However, I didn't realize how many photos would be taken and what a hot mess I would be. I was completely drenched in sweat while hiking through the humid jungle so by the time we made it to the larger waterfall, I was over having my photo taken. My husband loves having his photo taken so he could have had his own photo shoot.
I wore hiking sandals and comfortable clothes. Bev provided water, walking sticks and bug spray, which was much appreciated. Overall, it was a great adventure but we saw many lost people on our way out so I was happy we hired a guide. The hike did make me feel a little out of shape since I don't normally hike in slippery mud, climb over downed trees, or traverse steep inclines by hanging onto vines, roots and branches. Honestly, I booked this trip for my husband's sake because he was jonesing for an up-close view of a waterfall and he really owes me now. LOL
