This waterfall tour was awesome! We hiked with Dave and he was funny and easygoing. He had great stories and info to share but also would hike ahead a bit to give us some personal space too which we appreciated. The trail was quite muddy when we went and had we gone there by ourselves (not that there was a great chance we'd even find that nearly invisible trailhead), we probably would have quit early at the sight of all the mud. But it is a true hike through the jungle of Kauai and the hiking poles and patience that Dave had for us made all the difference. If it has rained in the days right before your planned hike, wear shoes with good traction that you don't mind if they sink into a couple inches of mud. Hiking over and under fallen trees and sitting on rocks for photos pretty much ensures you'll get mud somewhere on you. We brought a quick change of "nicer" clothes to throw over our hiking clothes for our photos and we are so glad we did that. A small towel or wipes to wipe off sweat or mud before pictures might not be a bad idea. Bottom line is that this tour is absolutely worth it but you have go with your sense of adventure!

Girls trip to Kauai! We 3 City Girls arrive dressed in skirts and flip-flops. Because of course we want to look cute infront of waterfalls to take pictures. You know if it’s not in Insta it didn’t happen. That did not deter Chris. He was absolutely accommodating and made sure that we had walking sticks, lead the path, and was there to help us go over trees branches and down a very steep path to see the waterfalls safely. He’s traveled the world and speaks Thai fluently. He Explained different parts of the Hawaiian culture which particular leaves they use in a luau, nuts they used to eat, a history of the island. Chris is super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He even told his local tips on where to find the best deals on happy hour. He was always willing to take pictures wherever we wanted. He didn’t rush us and exhibited a lot of kind patience. If you’re not an avid hiker do it anyway. The nature on the trail was amazing gorgeous and so worth the sweat. We completed the trail feeling STRONG. 2 weeks later and we are still laughing about our adventure. It was definitely a lifetime memory.

WE LOVE CHRIS!!! I took my mom and sister on this trip. We were first time hikers and Chris was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. He was not only thoughtful, but shared great stories about the jungle and Hawaiian culture. The hike was difficult but so worth it! We would do it again just to have Chris's company.
