I do not recommend this challenging game for solo travelers. No team mates can be provided for you.
Most hunters need to be able to walk for 2 hours. However if you have a less mobile team member, your host can make suggestions of where they can play from and interact with their team by smart phone.

The favorite part of our adventure was the excitement of the competition and meeting all the friendly people of Taos that were so helpful to us in finding the clues. Tip: walk around the Taos area close to the plaza to get familiar with your surroundings.

We were expecting a traditional scavenger hunt that would include chasing down historical locations and events associated with Taos, NM. Instead we were tasked with writing poems, sharing our feelings, doing yoga poses with total strangers, and many more strange assignments. We quickly realized it wasn’t for us and cancelled our participation after a few minutes. We were not offered a refund or even a discount on our 4 person $132 booking.

It says quite clearly on my listing this is not a traditional scavenger hunt. However, you do learn a lot about Taos history, interact with locals and get creative, which is what the creative ones who were drawn to New Mexico over the generations have done.The key element to have this experience is to DO THE CLUES. This family did drop out after they took one look at the clues and did not do one clue. They choose not to engage in any way. In this case, their own choice not to participate led to an poor outcome, when if they had given it a try they would have found it a rewarding learning and creative experience, as have my other over 170 five star reviews on my Trip Advisor listing for my business page. I do honor the Viator cancelation policy in all cases, but in this situation, canceling during the hunt, no refund can be expected by either Viator or the activity provider.
