This was my first Luau and I really enjoyed the experience. I'm glad it wasn't an all day thing. We went to the waterfall before, and there wasn't a lot of water at the waterfall, good hike tho. It's August so it's really hot, didn't get any mosquito bites either.
I really enjoyed all the activities they had us do before the show, so many variety & Hands on experience, this was really fun. After that we went to our table, we were sat in the back, was a little hard to see the performance but isn't bad if you stand, plus the group was small, so we're closer than other shows. I heard other luau has 500 people. This one is on the smaller scale maybe 200? The show was really great. I hope they improve on getting a bigger stage, but I know there are limits. The fires how was probably my favorite, it was really awesome, also hard to see since we were near the back, so book early! We did it the day of, so we got whatever was left.
There wasn't much of a selection of food, but it was good. Definitely filled my plate with the food they did offer, and I would get an extra plate for the dessert if you don't like mixing. My plate was so full. They also pass around hot chocolate made fresh from coco beans, that was amazing.
The staff is amazing and really friendly, they are also funny so it made the show experience enjoyable. I was getting tired by the end of the show, we were there for 3/4 hr plus the hike. Not sure how people do the all day luau. This show was perfect. Really enjoyed our time & jo is a really awesome guy!
