While our crew was friendly and patient with teaching us the basics of snorkling, that's where the positives end. We went out on a day where the current was stronger than usual, and because of this, we were unable to swim out to see the turtles. Our crew tried once to bring us in small groups of 3 to the turtle area, but turned us around when they (and also some of my fellow guests) felt we weren't getting far. They brought us to the boat for what I thought was a brief break, but instead was the end of our day. They took our snorkel gear and we just sat on the boat for 30 minutes until they drove us back in. They didn't tell us we were done, it was just "surprise, we're going to start heading back to shore." I paid $80+ to get sea sick, swim 20 whole feet, and see 0 turtles.

Thank you for the kind words about our crew. Ocean conditions are out of our control but we try to do our best to show everyone a great time no matter what conditions are like. It sounds like there was some miscommunication which I apologize for, and would love to have you come back out and swim with the turtles! Based on your review it sounds like there were some weak swimmers in your group that wanted to come back but you were ready to keep going. I’m sure our guides thought you were part of that group that wanted to stay at the boat. We are our at the snorkel spot for an hour and guests are welcome to get in and out of the water as much as they please. If they are not strong enough swimmers to make it far from the boat we try to find as much marine life as possible for you right at the swim step. We only take snorkel gear away when guests hand it back to us as we are under the impression that you are done with the water and are going to hang out on the boat. We have a guide who’s entire role is to help guests get from the boat to the reef where the turtles are and back as much as they please. I’m sure that while you were waiting for our guides to ask you to get back in the water, they would have been more than happy to help you try again if they knew you wanted to get back in.
