Vernal Fall

Beginning at Happy Isles in the eastern end of Yosemite Valley, our trail climbs above the cataracts and rapids of the Merced River to a bridge over the river with excellent views of 317 ft. tall Vernal Fall.

Mist Trail

The next half mile is where the Mist Trail earns its name. Steep and slick, the trail ascends a virtual granite stairway through the thundering mist of Vernal Fall. In spring and early summer rain gear is recommended.

WT put together a great trip. our guide, austin, actually flipped our trip around so we could do a big ascent (3000'+ ft.) without a bunch a day-trippers clogging the trail (we left that for the descent, much easier!). austin was a great cook, was generous to carry extra weight and came loaded with yosemite data and trivia. we had a group of six, of which my son and i were two. awesome trip and planning a return with the rest of the family.

Wildland Trekking is amazing in taking care of solo woman traveller like me. Everything from hikes to tents was top notch. The support they provide to help a person during the hike s is unparallel. Highly recommended. Special Kudos to my guide Morgan Daniels! She went above and beyond in everything! I will be doing many more trips with them in future for sure!

Our trip to Yosemite was amazing! Not only were the views and site’s spectacular, but our guide was awesome. He was so nice, and really tailored our daily excursions to the small group he had.
