Blue Water Maui is TERRIFIC. They may not be the most organized; we were told to assemble on the dock 30 min before excursion time but the boats were about 30 minutes late getting started. To be fair, it was the 4th of July, and lots of people were using the pier, but the Blue Water staff were definitely on Maui time! If you let that go, however, once you got on the boat, you were in for a fantastic snorkel excursion! The boats are not fancy and there are no amenities or restrooms, but they are comfortable and fun with plenty of room for sun or shade as you cross the channel from Maul over to Lanai. Where we snorkeled, around the back of Lanai, was truly incredible. We've snorkeled at Molokini, and in Kauai, and in places as far as Indonesia and Mexico. This was some of the best snorkeling we have ever done. And the crew, Captain Justin and Nixon, were really awesome guys. We were in the water for over an hour, and then we were taken back over to a sunken dock and pier area that was really nice because of the turtles but annoying because it was crowded with people who had no idea how to snorkel, so hanging out there meant getting kicked in the head a lot! But the turtles were awesome. Sandwiches and soft drinks were available at the end, and they were great. For a fantastic snorkeling experience, we highly recommend Blue Maui!
