National World War II Memorial

Tourists will visit a memorial built to remember those who fought for our county in World War II. US allies France, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union fought against Axis powers Germany, Italy, and Japan to take down Hitler.

Lincoln Memorial

Lastly is the Lincoln Memorial and it's Reflecting Pool. The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is the largest of many in Washington D.C. Overlook this scenic body of water take a picture to commemorate your tour.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial

This location is home to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. This statue honors Dr. Martin Luther King and the powerful racial impact his leadership has had on this country. Also in this area is the Tidal Basin, most associated with the Cherry Blossom Festival that takes place each spring.

From the time Tundey received us at the hotel, he really made everyone in my family feel like we were a part of his family. His knowledge of all the monuments and museums on our tour really made me think he was an Historian at some point in his life. I would also commend his professionalism in dealing with a guest who felt compelled to talk over Tundey on several occasions. I hope that under similar circumstances, I will conduct myself with the same level of grace. I don't know if you can request tour guides, but I certainly will attempt to do so for my next trip to DC. Unfortunately for all the other guides, Tundey has set the bar extremely high.

Our son loved this tour. Any history buff would enjoy it. Seeing the presidential and war memorials was great. It was a memorable vacation for us. We highly recommend taking a bus tour and letting the guide do the driving especially in Washington, DC traffic. Our guide, Tunde, is an immigrant from Nigeria. He's thankful to be an American now and happy to talk about our country's history. He was very knowledgeable of where to go and took away the stress of driving ourselves. His conversation about things along the way made things even more enjoyable.

Tour was not quite as described in the literature and the pick up was confusing. I was at the pick up point 45 mins before due time and only found the tour vehicle by chance asking everyone I could find. Eventually stumbling on the driver. The van was not marked in any way. It was a small van very cramped. Having said that, the tour was good and informative
