We were on our first visit to our nation's capital, and booked this in advance of our trip. Although we had already toured the monuments and memorials by the time of our reservation, this tour enhanced our memories. The stretched golf cart holds 7 passengers max, and had clear side curtains for weather protection. That was a critical factor, as temperatures on April 1st were quite cool, and the curtains helped block the wind. At least it was dry, and with a full moon the night before it was quite beautiful. All are lit at night, and with the massive busloads of people absent, you had less people to deal with. You mostly just get a view, along with the guide's information and patter. We did visit the Capital, Lincoln Memorial and ML King memorial on foot, but the others are just drive by. Our guide, Tim, happens to be a descendent of President Taft, and that lead to interesting and humorous trivia. The whole tour group actually took up 4 carts, but each proceeds independently. Our guide was accommodating in dropping people at convenient spots to let them get back to their hotels.
