We took the 7pm 3hr dinner cruise. Pros-the wait staff was lovely and attentive, particularly Victor and Rosalina. The food was better than expected. Lobster bisque was very flavorful and tasty. Crab cakes filled with crab and in a delicious Cajun sauce. Dessert was so-so. My butter cake was over cooked and rock hard. Cheesecake decent. We paid extra for guaranteed window seating, but got stuck in the last table on port side forward. My view for most of the night was the emergency axe and a storage room. I had to turn my chair to see anything which was pretty uncomfortable. Make sure to ask where you will sit. We did ask to change seats, but due to the number of guests, it didn’t happen. To that point, this is where the cruise went downhill. It was noisy, but tolerable just before and mostly during dinner. There was a very large party group that apparently believed the cruise boat had been hired for their personal use. They were extremely boisterous and really prevented many others from having a relaxing dinner cruise. Then the DJ pretty much fed into the clamor and before we could even have dessert, we were forced outside to even hear one another. For over $350, we could have gone elsewhere, not to a ‘60’s disco floating down the Potomac. We did not get the impression this cruise was to be a PARTY boat. If you want relaxing, this is not it.
