The monuments and what they stand for, especially the Jefferson, Lincoln and MLK memorials were highlights. The war memorials, especially the Iwo Jima statue and the Pentagon 911, were very moving. The view at night of the Washington and Jefferson memorials and the Capital from the Lincoln memorial was particularly memorable. And of course, Pedro, our tour guide and racounteur. His stories and wit kept us entertained between stops and there was never a dull moment. Top tour of the visit for us.
