More hiking would have been better for my wife and I. It was listed as a hike but in over 4 hours we walked no more than two miles. The trip was listed as a hiking tour? It was extremely interesting as Paul has a vast knowledge of the history, plants, and wildlife in the area. How was great. We just expected more hiking.

Thank you so much for this review of our company and our wonderful guide, Paul! The Waterfall and Blue Ridge Parkway Tour is definitely our "easy" hike option to accommodate a variety of fitness levels, whereas our Guided Waterfall Hike is our "moderate" hike option. We also offer 4 to 8-mile hikes as Private Tours that we would love to take you on next time you are in the area. Thank you again!

Paul was our tour guide for the 4.5 tour and was an outstanding guide. My wife and I are from PA and travelled with our best friends from Maryland. We loved the off the path spots he took us. Waterfalls and Blue Ridge Hwy vistas were on point and could not have been happier with custom tour he provided. Paul was great about incorporating all he know about conservancy, knowledge of plants and the surrounding ecosystems. He loves what he does and it shows. We were so impressed, my son and daughter-in-law are headed down early 2021 and we'll be referring them to Asheville Hiking and having them specifically ask for Paul. Paul thanks again for a most memorable experience!!!! 5 stars isn't high enough!!!! Truly awesome.

We had extra time to get in 5 waterfalls. (an extra bonus) All waterfalls had amazing views but my favorite was the last we did. I believe it was Moore Cove Falls...We were able to go behind the waterfall and get a super up close view! Our guide Abby was amazing, none the less. She was very knowledgeable about the forest and its habitat. I learned about some leaves that are basically scratch and sniff, one smelled exactly like fruit loops and another smelled like root beer! I even taste tested some plants....that was an try everything once but not again experience lol...but overall fun. I really liked that Abby was nice enough to take pictures of me and other tour group members for photos we wanted to take. Memories for a lifetime. I will definitely ask for Abby on my next trip. Yes, there will be another visit someday.
