Join us for a 4.5 hour snorkeling tour! Swim with turtles, see beautiful reef fish, and look for dolphins! All equipment is provided, along with delicious catering from local restaurant 'Down the Hatch'. Every seat on the boat has shade, personal storage, and there is a bathroom on-board. 10/10 It would be impossible to oversell how amazing this charter is. From start to finish, Austin, Captain Derek and Shasta are absolutely fantastic at what they do. The smaller boat allows for a much more intimate and customized experience and Shasta is a rock star at not only ensuring you have a good time but that you learn about the whales and marine life you encounter during the trip. This is our second time going out with them and we learn something new each time. Their food is simple but tasty, tons of beverages to keep you hydrated and they all go out of the way to ensure everyone is having a great time. We will 100% be booking with them again. Mahalo!!

We did the 4.5 Hour Deluxe Snorkel and Whale Watch in late March and can’t imagine having a better day! Whales were abundant and active. The water in the channel was about as calm as it gets so Capt. Makai (sp?) decided to take us all the way to the eastern side of Lanai to snorkel offshore at the old Club Lanai site. The reef was gorgeous, visibility was great, and there were no other boats nearby. What a treat! We did a second stop at the Mala Wharf to swim with turtles where Capt. Makai moored us close to the turtle cleaning station and far enough away from the bigger boats that we were away from the crowds. Naturalist/deckhand Rich kept us well-fed, hydrated, and safe and was in the water watching over us at both stops. I’m a senior with cranky knees and found that the beach load/unload via zodiac tender as well as the ladders on the Merman rigid hull inflatable were easier for me to manage than the beach-loading catamaran we went out on the day before. The Merman boat offered a comfortable, shaded ride. If they had availability for the same trip in the next couple of days before we leave West Maui, we’d happily do it trip again! Next time we visit West Maui, we’ll be sure to book a couple of deluxe snorkel trips in advance with The Magic Mermen!!!

We had a fantastic experience. I called to ask questions before booking and the owner was professional and friendly. On the day of the excursion, we were met with smiles and the owners checked everyone in. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly and even got into the water with us to point out certain sea animals to us. We saw whales, turtles, dolphins and even a shark!!! I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Maui!
