This two-and-a-half hour whale watch tour with a certified naturalist departs from the Kailua-Kona pier during whale season (December to April). Hear singing males on the PA system through a hydrophone and take photos of whales up-close. Snacks and beverages are included (no-host bar also available). Ironically, I accidentally booked this whale watch. This harbor is NOT fun when there is a cruise ship in “port”. Standing in line on hot blacktop for 30 minutes is not fun. Boat is intended for dinner cruises…not whale watching. BUT the whales were relatively active. Book with Hang Loose instead. Better smaller boat that is conducive to watching whales. Leaves from harbor closer to airport. Goes farther north along the coast where you see more whales and tons of spinner dolphins.

We have been having a spectacular Whale Season, actually one for the record books and it was odd to see a three star review after reading several five star reviews back to back! We are a bit confused by your review so will offer some clarification for our valued readers. Regardless, we wish you the very best! For our valued readers: Our 65' foot catamaran, the larger of the two vessels that we operate whale watches from, offers 2.5 hour Whale Watching excursions from the Kailua Kona Pier conveniently located in downtown Kailua Kona. We provide guests with free parking at our retail store located about a block from the pier. Boarding begins at 12:30 pm, departing at 1:00 pm and we return at 3:30 pm. A guarantee to see Whales or come again for free is available in the unlikely event that whales are not cooperating. Our vessel has three restrooms, lots of shade, upper and lower decks, cushioned seating and provides guests with snacks and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks. There's even a full service bar on board! Guests may purchase cocktails if they so choose. Our on board naturalist is a wealth of cetacean information and we have an underwater hydrophone to hopefully listen in on the songs of the Humpback whales as well. Our family owned business has been happily offering guests ocean excursions in Kailua Kona since 1988! It is a pleasure to share our love of the ocean and island with our guests!

Too crowded, felt feel sick and that never happened before. Seen May be 2 whales. Not with the money paid. If have opportunity stay at your resort and watch whales there.

Me and my wife had a truly amazing time on the Whale watching cruise from the Big Island. All Thanks to the staff on the cruise. I strongly recommend this trip to anyone.
