What an amazing sunset whale watching tour! The boat was large enough to hold 100+ passengers, but there were only 30 on the trip, so lots of room to move around and social distance. The staff was very knowledgeable about the orcas, and the captain knew just where to find them. We found a pod of 5 orcas, and followed them for about an hour. We had the perfect view of them with Mt. Baker in the background. We enjoyed a spectacular sunset on the return back to Friday Harbor. A must do!

A Great time and great staff! My wife and I have been on several whale watching trips and this one was in the top 2. The other one was with San Juan Safaris also. Captain Gabe got us on orcas within 10 min. He knew when to cut the motor and the orcas began the show for more than 20 min. next to the boat. I hope we can have an experience like this one again someday.

Orcas successfully hunted right off the side of our boat. The captain had cut the engines as the pod swam closer to us. Thankfully we didn’t see their prey, but there was a cry of “There is blood in the water!” We chose San Juan Safaris for our whale watching experience. The organization was friendly and professional. They told us which ferry to take to the Friday Harbor and what to expect once we arrived. Everything went smoothly.
