Took our dog on the boat and staff was excellent with him. Saw at least 10 whales, dolphins and even a shark. The naturalist was awesome! This was the best whale watch I’ve ever been on and would highly recommend.

We arrived at about 8:15 for our 8:30AM whale watch. Check in was easy as we had pre-registered. There was an additional charge ($5/person) to help cover increased fuel costs. We boarded the boat and since there was no seating left on the lower deck, we headed to the upper deck which appeared to be even more crowded. We braced ourselves against a metal storage box and stood the whole ride out to where the whales typically are. This was a good hour +/-. Once out to the deeper areas, the crew spotted a group of 3-4 humpback whales which we were able to observe. Of course everyone bounces from right side to left side and vice versa when the whales appear. What I found sort of odd about this particular whale watch was that once they found this group of whales, the boat seemed to stay in this very spot. 2 more Humpbacks showed up and this was it! No more moving from this site. The whale watch seemed to settle on this spot and we watched these same 4-6 whales for the entirety of our time. I mention this only because I have been on other whale watches out of Plymouth, MA (Captain John's). Cape Ann Whale Watch paled in comparison as I've never had to stand, always plenty of room to sit and/or change seats. This was unfortunate; IF people did get up, the remaining people in their parties made sure to 'spread out' to be sure the vacated seats weren't taken. In addition, staying in one spot once a few whales have been spotted is understandable for a time, maybe 15-20 minutes, but not expected for the entire length of the trip. All in all, it was a nice day for a whale watch, the crew was pleasant, but in the end, I'd most likely head back to Plymouth for future tours.

We had so much fun! The location was easy to find and they had parking and attendants for us. The ladies at the front desk were not super friendly, but I don't ever expect friendly from people in Mass. We were thankful for their gift shop as my son did not follow directions and brought a thin long sleeve shirt instead of a sweatshirt. The folks on the boat were well organized and very knowledgeable. It seemed like they genuinely cared about showing us the whales and dolphins and teaching us. I would not hesitate to book with them again.
