Our Super Rafts, Kauai Voyager1 and 2 are perfectly suited for whale watching with great comfort including a full restroom, unobstructed views, and speed to bring us to the whales. We also utilize a hydrophone to listen to the whale song and have very friendly and knowledgeable captains and crew.

Due to the nature of boating on the open ocean, our tour is not suitable for those with neck or back problems or who have had surgeries in the past 90 days.

First time whale watching for me my wife and daughter. We saw at least 6 whales today. Even got to hear them singing from the boat. Ryan and Cannon were our guides and they said that was a first for them and were very excited about hearing that. They did an amazing job putting us on the whales at the end of the season. Highly recommend going on this tour.

Captain Andrew and Matt - wow - what a team! They kept us safe, hydrated, entertained, and informed on all kinds of crazy info on whales around Kauai and the world. Admittedly, its a bit late in the season for a lot of whale activity but the guys kept at it until we had encounters. Lots of spouts & tails and a full body breach. Saw small groups of mommas, babies, and companions. IYKYK. Thanks for a lovely afternoon in a great boat!

Do NOT book with Captain J’s. We saw absolutely NOTHING except the coastline. While we know this is possible (and not the fault of the crew), it is customary to offer some compensation. We would have been happy with 1/2-price vouchers to a future trip. Instead we got a snarky lecture about reading the fine print. $1200 later, we will never book with them again!
